Getting to know Alyssa Bertram of Easy.

Alyssa Bertram is the third and final #girlBOSS we are pleased to introduce in our #womenTALK Speakers Series! Alyssa is the founder of Easy. - an efficient platform that delivers 100% organic cotton tampons & pads right to your door with a portion of profits donated to delivering pads and health education to Kenyan girls. She independently built a company whose mandate is to empower women locally and abroad and challenge society's ideas about menstrual shame. We are overjoyed to have her as the third star of our series in celebration of International Women's Day!

Tell us what you do.
I run easy. a subscription delivery service for organic cotton liners, pads and tampons that donates a portion of proceeds to delivering pads to girls in Kenya. Our greatest mission is to empower women locally and abroad. I think there is so much media available to us as women that doesn't make us feel good and my goal is to counter that. I want all of our content to feel inspiring and empowering and to remind women of their internal power and worth.

Who (or what) inspires you to do what you do?

It's funny I think you know you've found your passion when its more work than ever but it's work you want to do. I feel so inspired by the women I have the opportunity to connect with through this platform we've built. I am amazed, motivated, inspired, healed and recharged by these women and their stories everyday.

What’s your favourite part of the day?

My favourite part of the day is creating content to put out, whether that's taking pictures, interviewing someone for a blog post or searching the internet for content that inspires me. I love reading, learning and exploring new things. There's such a wealth of inspiration available if you're open to it.

When you have a bit of free time to yourself, what are you doing?

My favourite thing to do on a day off is to wander the city. I have a few favourite shops, Dynasty for plants, Type Books, Easy Tiger Goods. I love to have my headphones on, walk the streets, hit a record store. At home I love to burn incense, read, put a good record on, cook dinner- the simple stuff.

What are the most played songs on your iTunes library?

Right now the songs getting the most play are Banks - F**k With Myself, Chance the Rapper - Blessings, Daniel Ceasar - Get you, Sampha - Without, the XX - Brave for You, Sonder - Care, and James Fauntleroy - Runaway
