Eating is one of our favorite things to do. Treating yourself out to a nice meal and drink is something we all wish we could do on a daily basis and with all of the amazing restaurants in Toronto, it’s hard to resist. We put together a little list of our favourite places around the Queen West area to wine and dine or grab a beautifully crafted coffee after a long day of shopping.
TACOS. If you don’t like tacos we definitely have an issue. This place has one of the best fish tacos we’ve ever had. It’s a bit of a toss up between La Carnita and this spot but the small coziness of Grande Electric won us over, and their patio in the summer is the cutest.
This place has some of the best small plates you will ever eat and some of the best cocktails you will ever sip. It’s a tiny, humble little spot on the north corner of Queen and Bathurst. Our recommendation are the steamed buns. Maaaaybe one of the best we’ve ever tasted, order plenty.
This speak easy has some of the best cocktails in the city. Paired with the amazing shareable plates, the dim lighting and sweet jams it’s definitely a place to check out. Just on Ossington a little north of Queen.
Because brunching is pretty much a sport. This little spot is cooked up on the corner of Argyle and Dovercourt. With old creeky wood flooring, huge windows, an open kitchen and the self serve coffee; this place is pretty much the cutest café in Toronto. Your food is cooked right in front of you in a kitchen that looks just like your grandmas. Luna is opened everyday until 3, has a Monday-Friday breakfast and lunch menu and a special brunch menu on the weekends. OH and the best patio for people watching.
Directly across from Trinity Bellwood’s, by far the best coffee Queen West has to offer. They have a minimal menu but it has everything you could ever want. Americanos, Cortado’s, Macchiato’s, Cappacino’s, etc. The huge front window allows you to people watch while enjoying a wonderfully crafted coffee.
