RECIPES WE'RE TOO BUSY TO TRY: Galaxy Doughnuts

If there's one thing Instagram is great for besides envy-inducing travel pics, it's food porn. One of our all time favourites is Sam, a self-described vegan food creatrix who makes some seriously beautiful creations. 

This galaxy doughnut recipe she whipped up for Trendland (a favourite design blog of ours - definitely check them out) is no exception. And while we're super tempted, we're not too sure we'll have the time to actually test the recipe out. So if you do, please, please bring us some. Thanks in advance ;) 

For the Doughnuts

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup raw cane sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pinch of cinnamon
1/2 cup soy milk
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract with seeds
1 tbsp ground flaxseed mixed with 3 tbsp water
1/4 cup vegan margarine (Nuttelex or Earthbalance)

For the Icing

2-3 tbsp melted coconut oil
2-3 tbsp soy milk
1 2/3 – 2 cups powdered sugar
Vegan natural food dye (Red and Blue)
