TAMARA'S FIVE GO-TO SNEAKER LOOKS

Sneakers. Tennis shoes. Runners. Whatever you want to call them, athletic shoes are no longer reserved for just the gym. They have become a wardrobe staple for the woman who wants to make a statement while remaining comfortable as she does it.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been gravitating more and more towards sneakers and have been incorporating them into as many outfits as possible. There are so many fun options, so I’ve decided to put together some sneaker-friendly outfit formulas to get you inspired.

T-Shirt Dress

You just can’t go wrong with a pair of white high-tops and a simple t-shirt dress. Whether you’re going out to brunch, shopping, or just strolling around the city, this is the ultimate cool-girl ensemble. Who knew something so amazing could be so effortless?

Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are not longer just meant for special occasions. Sometimes it’s the most unexpected pairings that work the best together. Dress a great maxi dress down by adding in a pair of kicks for an unexpectedly cool look. When styled right, maxi dresses take on an ethereal vibe that is wearable both day and night.

Skirt Combination

The skirt and sneaker trend is still going strong and is one of my absolute favourites. Pair a really feminine outfit like this matching skirt and top with a great pair of pink sneakers for a more balanced look. This look reads as polished and sporty all at once.  The sky is the limit with this trend; play around with the skirt lengths and silhouettes for an unlimited number of combinations.

Relaxed Fit

For a much more relaxed vibe, pair some sneakers with a loose tee and some drawstring pants. These pants offer an effortless but dramatic edge that is anything but boring. This look is perfect for your weekend errands and proves that you can still be stylish while staying functional. You can also switch out the tee for a cropped tank for a more fitted, sporty look.
